years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Adelaide's "A Touch of Beauty" owner Joanna Collins has been supporting Animals Asia since 2006 and hosted four stunning events to raise funds for our work.
From a private dinner at Adelaide's Hilton in honour of Jill Robinson, to a cocktail party for over 300 guests at their brand new Jarvis showroom, all Joanna's events have been meticulously planned and incredibly successful raising well over $400,000 for Animals Asia.
Together with husband Richard Collins of The Jarvis Group of Companies, their generosity has extended beyond hosting events to include sizeable donations to build a new bear den in China, purchase a utility truck in Vietnam, and between them they have adopted four bears - Jarvis, Taurus, Ricky and Joey - who currently reside at our Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre.
Joanna and Richard are such believers in our work that they have helped spread the word and make others aware of the horrors of bear farming and what Animals Asia is doing. By inviting clients and friends to their events, speaking to the media about their support, and even displaying a massive billboard at the Jarvis location at Gepps Cross, it would be safe to say few people in Adelaide haven't heard about Animals Asia thanks to Joanna and Richard.
From Jarvis, Taurus, Ricky, Joey and everyone at Animals Asia - bear hugs Richard and Joanna for all that you do to help us end bear bile farming.
